Yvonne’s chair
Modelled (with permission) on David Haig’s design classic signature rocker, this commission is made from beautiful recycled jarrah. The sweeping curves of this piece are produced through the processes of bentwood lamination, with hundreds of thin strips of timber bent and glued over a number of different forms to produce each component. The solid timbers of the carved seat display a wide variety of grain patterns, enhanced with a Danish oil finish polished with beeswax.
